Ο Dimitrios G. Tsalikakis γεννwas born in Thessaloniki in 1977. He received a degree from the Department of Mathematics of the University of Ioannina in 2001, and a PhD from the Medical School of the University of Ioannina in 2006. He also holds two postgraduate degrees, one from the University of Macedonia in 2017 and one from the Open University of Cyprus in 2018. He has worked in numerous research projects as a programmer/researcher and has published more than 70 papers in scientific journals, conferences and book chapters, while he has received more than 1500 citations (https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=Dj2Z38EAAAAJ) in his entire work. He is an Assistant Professor with a research subject: "Modeling and Analysis of Electrophysiological Data" at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University Western Macedonia. Since October 2013, he has been suspended from his duties by the decision of the Minister of Education, because he was appointed Deputy Governor at the University Hospital AHEPA of Thessaloniki. Since then, he has served continuously as Deputy Governor of the 4th Health Region of Macedonia Thrace, and since September 2019 as Governor of the 4th Health Region. Since September 2019, he has requested and received a partial lifting of the suspension and teaches in the department without pay. Very extensive administrative experience in positions of responsibility, especially with the burden of managing the pandemic. Many innovations in the field of health and creation of new conditions in the field. His research interests include: biomedicine technology, modeling biomedical data, the doctormedical informatics, digital processing and analysis of biomedical signals and medical imaging, wearable systems and devices, statistical analysis of medical information, as well as intelligent information systems for automatic medical diagnosis.
