As part of the project, the development of a portable diagnostic and therapeutic system for the management of diabetes is proposed. Specifically, the construction of a graphene-based biosensor is proposed, which will be in the form of a patch and will measure the concentration of glucose in sweat, and a hypoglycemic treatment release system (patch) in the form of a nanoemulsion. These two systems will have control devices that will communicate with a portable device. The sensor will detect changes in glucose concentration, the smart software of the portable device will record them and activate the release of the hypoglycemic substance nanoemulsion, which will come into contact with the skin. The ultimate goal is a fully automated and non-invasive system, aimed at freeing diabetic patients from the stress and burden of continuous glucose level measurements and consequently improving their quality of life.
