Ο Nikolaos Galfas is an Electrical Technologist with a postgraduate degree in Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Management in Buildings. He has been working in the field of Higher Education since 2001 with previous work experience in building websites and managing web application servers. He joined the permanent staff of the Polytechnic School of the University of Western Macedonia in 2010 as a Laboratory Technical Staff. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff (ETPS) at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering (now Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering) with a field of study of "Internet of Things Technologies". He has many years of experience supporting the Department's network and laboratory infrastructure, especially the management of servers and network services. Participates in the implementation and management of LoRaWAN wireless networks of the University of Western Macedonia.

O Christos Orovas He graduated in 1993 from the Department of Computer Science of the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, where, within the framework of the ERASMUS program, he moved for a semester to Leeds Metropolitan University (U.K) for his Master's Thesis on "Handwriting Recognition with Neural Networks". In 2000, he obtained the title of Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science (DPhil) from the University of York (UK) with a scholarship from the State Scholarship Foundation for his research on Cellular Associative Neural Networks for pattern recognition (1994-1998). From 1998 to 2000 and again in 2002 he was a member of the Neural Networks Laboratory team of the Department of Informatics of the University of Milan (Italy) participating in the European research programs PHYSTA and ORESTEIA in research on the integration of Probabilistic Approximation Correct Learning (PAC learning) methods with unsupervised artificial Neural Network models with the aim of application in emotional state recognition systems and adaptive personal assistant devices. From 2002 to 2017 he served as a permanent professor of Informatics in Secondary Education and at the same time a Scientific Associate of the Technical University of Western Macedonia. The academics years 2004-2010 he collaborated with the University of Macedonia teaching the course of Artificial Intelligence in the interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program at the TEIDM. From 2012 to 2016 he was Technical Manager of the Ke.Pli.Net.T of Florina while since 2017 he is a permanent member of the E.D.I.P of the TEI of Western Macedonia and subsequently of the University of Western Macedonia in the Department of Systems and Product Design Engineering. He speaks Greek, English and Italian and is also a graduate of the annual Pedagogical Training Program (EPPAIK) of the A.S.PAITE and holder of a Master's degree in Bioinformatics and Neuroinformatics of the EAP.
